Our Portfolio

The SolarSaver group was founded with a view to offering clients a unique solar solution that doesn’t require them to put up any capital or financial guarantees.

The concept has proven extremely popular and SolarSaver now runs the largest fleet of self-financed C&I solar installations in Southern Africa.

The SolarSaver portfolio includes over 700 systems operated by SolarSaver under long-term rent-to-own and PPA contracts across South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

Our Funders

SolarSaver’s track record has attracted a number of well-respected investors and the group has access to substantial equity and debt capital for purposes of developing its solar portfolio.

The group's key equity shareholders include Stimulus Investments Limited, a private equity fund managed by Pointbreak, the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund (PRIF), an international private equity fund that focuses on infrastructure and energy-related investments in Africa, Leapserve Holdings, a black-owned facilities management services company, and the Moshesh Partners RECI Fund 1, a black-managed private equity fund investing in renewable energy and clean infrastructure projects in Africa.

Extensive debt capital facilities have also been provided by Investec Bank Limited, First National Bank, and the Government Institutions Pension Fund of Namibia.
