CAPEX-FREE SOLAR SOLUTIONS
Capex-free, hassle-free solar solutions for business
The SolarSaver group was founded with a view to offering clients a unique solar solution that doesn’t require them to put up any capital or financial guarantees. The concept has proven extremely popular and SolarSaver now runs the largest fleet of self-financed C&I solar installations in Southern Africa. The SolarSaver portfolio includes over 300 systems operated by SolarSaver under long-term rent-to-own and PPA contracts across South Africa and Namibia.
SolarSaver’s track record has attracted a number of well-respected investors and the group has access to substantial equity and debt capital for purposes of developing its solar portfolio. SolarSaver’s key equity shareholders include the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund (PRIF), an international private equity fund that focuses on infrastructure and energy-related investments in Africa, and Stimulus Investments Limited, a private equity fund managed by Ashburton Investments (part of the FirstRand Group).
SolarSaver completes all its installations in-house, with engineering and installation teams in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Windhoek.
